#1: Goodbye Oxfordshire

What a great last few weeks in and around Oxford! Despite the chaos of moving out of our house and taking some stuff to Eliza’s family and storing the rest with Tom’s family while camping out with them too, we managed to pack in a lot of fun activities. From catching up with friends, going to the Lion King with both sets of parents, many kayaks and SUPs, all while Tom continues to write his Masters’ thesis and we pack up, unpack and repack again, it has been hectic but happy.

What did we go to see again?

James and Jenna visiting helped everyone to settle into holiday mode and added a lot of joy to our summer. As a future warning, they are skilled at their “Geistes Blitz” which is deceptively simple and yet incredibly tricky and competitive game which makes even the most capable forget how to match colours and objects! Rory’s girlfriend Abby is freakishly good at this however, and remains the reigning champion we believe…

Beware of this game – oddly addictive and deceptively competitive
Being tourists in Oxford with other Gearings

All of our belongings are now finally sold or packed up – who knew you could accumulate so much stuff?! Now getting ready for the minute box-room of a studio apartment that awaits us in France, but first, a week of work and family time with Eliza’s family in Suffolk.

How many bikes is too many? All have now been sold (except the motorbike, obviously)

So many goodbyes and see you just nows, so hopefully a lot of visits expected in France soon! Can cats have passports?
